Yoshihiro Togashi’s Hunter x Hunter manga returns in November

It’s official — the Hunter x Hunter Manga is back. It is back! Shonen Jump twitterThe account announced that Volume 37 will be released in Japan on November 4, 2010. Although there is not yet any information on the publication date, Polygon reached Out to Viz Media in order to confirm.

There hasn’t been an update to the Hunter x Hunter manga since 2018. Yoshihiro Togashio has had to frequently take a break from manga because of severe and frequent health problems. He created a Twitter account in May and started posting updates about his work. While most of his updates were limited to page numbers, which did not give much information about the volume’s upcoming volumes, he did post a few sketches and drawings.

It was first published in manga form back in 1998. Two anime series were based on the manga. Hunter x Hunter It takes place in an alternate world, where Hunters are licensed professionals who embark on amazing adventures such as hunting for treasure, subduing monsters and tracking down criminals. Gon, an incredibly gifted young boy who is trying to locate his father, the legendary Hunter who abandoned him when he was a child, takes the Hunter Examination. Gon is accompanied by Killua (the runaway heir to a notoriously assassinated family); Kurapika (the sole survivor in a horrific genocide) and Leorio (who wants to become a doctor).

The current manga volumes have pivoted to Kurapika’s quest for revenge. As a current member of the Zodiacs — basically the governing body of the Hunter Association — Kurapika joined a dangerous expedition to an unknown continent. He serves as the bodyguard to a baby princess and has been navigating a cutthroat royal family’s brutal war for succession. Leorio is also there, but he’s working on the Med Bay and we unfortunately don’t see much of him.
