Game of Thrones: House of the Dragon release date, time, and how to watch

House of the Dragon, the prequel series to HBO’s epic Game of Thrones, premieres Aug. 21. The show is available on both HBO and HBO Max, which means we’re back to the good old days of a combined network/streaming air date and time.

When does House of the Dragon premiere?

This is the first episode House of the DragonAirs on Sunday, August 21 at 9 PM on HBO Max and HBO. HBO Max and HBO West Coast subscribers will be aware that HBO offers both East Coast as well as West Coast feeds to cable TV providers. Paddy Considine portrays King Viserys Tarrayen. This is Jaehaerys I. Targaryen’s heir and successor. Emma D’Arcy and Matt Smith portray his children, the first-born Princess Rhaenyra and younger sibling Prince Daemon. Rhys Ifans portrays Otto Hightower Hand of the King To Viserys and Steve Toussaint plays Lord Corlys Velaryon, who is an important Targaeryen ally.
