Destiny 2 Xur location and items guide, May 6-10

Xur, the Exotic item merchant who visits Destiny every week, is found in various locations all over Destiny. Xur’s inventory this week consists of the following:

• Skyburner’s Oath, Solar scout rifle: 29 Legendary Shards
• Celestial Nighthawk and Hunter helmet: 23 Legendary Swads
• 23 Legendary Shards, Heart of Inmost Light Titan chest
• Felwinter’s Helm, Warlock helmet: 23 Legendary Shards
• Exotic Engram: You can purchase an additional Exotic Cipher to get 97 Legendary Shards.
• Exotic Cipher quest: free

Season of the Risen The Witch Queen, Xur sells a random roll of both Hawkmoon and Dead Man’s Tale each week.

Here are the special Exotic weapons he’s selling:

• Hawkmoon Kinetic hand cannon Killing Wind: 120,000. Glimmer; 200 Legendary Shards; Exotic Cipher. Ascendant Shard.
• Dead Man’s Tale, Kinetic scout rifle (Moving Target): 125,000 Glimmer, 200 Legendary Shards, Exotic Cipher, Ascendant Shard

As of Season of the Lost, Xur also sells a collection of old armor and weapons — similar to Banshee-44 and Ada-1. These items are usually difficult to find as they come from past seasons. The cost of each item, be it armor or weapon, is only 1,000 Glimmer plus 50 Legendary Shards.

Xur’s Legendary inventory this week consists of the following:

• False Promises: Kinetic auto rifle
• Eternal Blazon and Arc Scout rifle
• Truthteller, Void launcher
• First In, Last Out, Arc shotgun

Xur’s items drop at a power level similar to that of your character.

Skyburner’s Oath

Skyburner’s Oath is an Exotic scout rifle modeled after the Cabal’s slug rifle. The first Exotic perk it comes with is The Slug Rifle, which causes the gun to become more powerful when you’re aiming down its sights and launch heat-seeking grenades when you fire from the hip. Exotic second perk: Empire. The gun is now fully automatic and can deal additional damage to Cabal foes. It also penetrates the shields of Phalanx foes.

All of the perks around Skyburner’s Oath make it sound fantastic, but it’s a fairly mediocre weapon. However, it’s getting what sounds to be a major upgrade later this month, so it’s worth gambling on.

Celestial Nighthawk

Celestial NighthawkThis exotic is one of our top picks Destiny 2. Its main perk, Hawkeye HackCauses Golden GunIt is better to only fire one shot than three. This single shot is able to do six times as much damage than the typical Golden Gun. It is recommended for players who enjoy raiding and PvE. It’s also exceptional for boss damage.

Heart of Inmost Light

Heart of Inmost LightTitan Exotic is available Forsaken. Exotic perk Overflowing light. The perk allows you to use any ability (melee class, grenade, or other) for short periods of time and empowers your remaining abilities. In this instance, Empower means more health, faster regen or damage. This is an interesting Exotic that plays well into certain builds, but it’s difficult to use if you aren’t paying attention. Make sure you grab your Titan.

Felwinter’s Helm

Felwinter’s Helm Season of the Worthy has a brand new Warlock Exotic. This Exotic Perk can be found here Warlord’s End. The perk allows elemental kills and blasts to cause nearby enemies to be weakened. The potency can be increased by killing a strong enemy or using a finisher. This is an interesting Exotic, and worth keeping in your Warlock’s arsenal. The Exotic also looks great.

Exotic Cipher quest

Beginning in Beyond LightXur is now searching for the Exotic Cipher. You can buy Exotics at the Monuments to Lost Light kiosk located in the tower with the Exotic Cipher. You’ll need these items and some other currencies to pick up Exotics like Heir Apparent and Truth.

This week, Xur is asking you to take 21 Strikes and win Crucible or Gambit matches. By finishing the quest, you’ll earn an Exotic Cipher to use however you want.
