Star Trek: Picard’s third and final season will reunite Next Generation cast

In advance of this week’s season 2 finale of Star Trek: PicardParamount Plus has revealed a slew of surprises for season 3. What will it be? Picard’s final season, the series will reunite the crew of Star Trek: The Next Generation for the season’s main cast.

This means that Geordi La Forge, Worf (Michael Dorn), William Riker(Jonathan Frakes), Deanna Troi and Data (Brent Spiner), will be reunited once more with Jean-Luc Picard. They’ll boldly take on the challenge of going where no one else has been before.

Picard was seen contemplating his past while lines from the teaser reveal that he made the announcement. Next GenerationHis thoughts echo. Picard then sees William Riker, the former first officer, standing next to him, with his phasers drawn. The footage is cut to the casting list.

As the second season is still currently airing, it’s not clear what ultimately will bring them all together, but given that Picard is currently in a season-long story involving the extra-dimensional being Q, it’s fair to assume that all cards are on the table for a full-on nostalgia play.
