Hell Hath No Fury review: Hulu’s 90-minute war thriller packs a punch
A 90-minute thriller may be rare in today’s movie industry, but it is a great film. Hell Hath No FuryHulu has released 2021’s “The Greatest Showman” as a new release this week. It is the antidote to this age of superhero epics that last three hours.
It was established at the close of World War II. Hell Hath No Fury Marie DuJardin, a Frenchwoman who was shaved on the head to indicate that she is a Nazi conspirator, follows us (Nina Bergman). She’s rescued (or captured, depending on your point of view) by a group of American soldiers, who demand she reveal the location of a secret stash of Nazi gold. They aren’t the only ones seeking the gold: Members of the French resistance and a battalion of Nazi soldiers on their way out of France are also on the hunt.
The thriller unfolds almost entirely inside a cemetery. It is an intense, thrilling, and tense tale that challenges everything you thought you knew about the characters. Jesse V. Johnson (Director), a former stuntman who is best remembered for his association with Scott Adkins, DTV action legend.AvengementAlthough my favourite is The Debt CollectorOne of his most memorable films. It keeps the audience on the edge for the entire duration of the 94-minute film.

Matthew Essary has an excellent interview about JVJ. Johnson was in touch with a financier after he made an unusual request. The film was then funded.
“He really, really wanted a World War II Jeep and wanted to be able to write it off as part of the production cost,” Johnson told Essary. “And so I said, ‘I think I have the perfect film.’” And we snuck in sideways that way.”
JVJ was also a part of one of JVJ’s stunts during the movie’s climactic scene.
This is an excellent piece of low-budget filmmaking. It simplifies the process and creates an atmosphere for the audience before the final scene. The movie is filled with death, which looms from every corner and at all times, adding a layer of haunting, sorrowful energy to the already intense tension. The film’s location in one area allows the viewers to intuitively see the structure of the final scene, which makes a confusing ending far easier than it would be in an unfamiliar environment.

Bergman and his cast of JVJ veterans are great in subtle roles that reveal their motivations. Daniel Bernhardt (Atomic Blonde, No One) brings an uncanny combination of menace and charm in one of the richest roles he’s had the opportunity to play, as the villainous Nazi officer Von Bruckner. Louis Mandylor (JVJ) and Dominique Vandenberg, JVJ veterans, add their own brand of charm to complete an impressive ensemble.
Bergman is the star, shining brightest as Marie. Bergman, a Danish singer-songwriter has previously worked with JVJ to create a Wonder Woman Fan short. This character has the most work of any cast member, and she is also the only one who gets the most screen time. However, her motives are not as clear to the public. While Bergman’s Marie is constantly in danger and masking an at-first-unnamed source of trauma, she’s never helpless, hardened by her experiences and the cruel world around her.
It’s a brutal, dark movie. Hell Hath No FuryIn a mere 90 minutes, this show packs a powerful punch. In the end, this tale is not about heroes, but survivors.
Hell Hath No Fury It is possible to view it Hulu.
