Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker’s First Major Patch Sets Us On A New Adventure

Final Fantasy XIV players were treated to a Letter From The Producer (AKA Yoshi-P), which gave insight into what the Endwalker expansion will bring.

Titled Newfound Adventure, Patch 6.1 will introduce just that: a new adventure to embark on. Or, at least, the beginnings of one. Endwalker’s primary scenario ended the storyline. This included the main narrative about the Ascians Primals and Garlean Empire. There are many more stories. The FFXIV Team is now working on something brand new. Unfortunately, it is something we are still not able to understand at the moment.

Along with the updated MSQ direction, certain 6.1x patches and subsequent 6.1x patches will bring a lot of content and modifications. The NPC team system for taking on dungeons solo is expanding to A Realm Reborn’s original dungeons and will sport a new name. The Duty Support System will be the new name for dungeoning alone with a group of NPCs, which was previously known as the Trust system. Soon, A Realm Reborn Patch 2.x will support Heavensward expansion dungeons.

According to the Endwalker website, here’s more to look forward to in Patch 6.

Square Enix has more to offer than these bulleted topics, but Square Enix will likely expand on them in a Letter from the Producer as Patch 6.1 gets closer.

Final Fantasy XIV will receive Patch 6.1 Newfound Adventure in the middle of April. You can read my Endwalker review, and learn more about Final Fantasy XIV.
